BATPAW

THE UNCHARTED ONES

I am Batpaw.

Name:
Batpaw

Rank:
Medicine Cat Apprentice

Age:
9-11 Month

Gender:
Cis Male

Allegiance:
The Uncharted Ones

Birthplace:
Twoleg Place

BATPAW

A tiny, frail kitten was born into the Twoleg Place in the alleyway of a thousand rogues. It was very disease ridden, everyone around him constantly getting sick. One night, a twoleg strolled through the alleyway, trying to catch all the cats.

Most got caught, and put into a rescue shelter in order to find new homes. Batpaw was 3 moons old, ready to find a home. A small, lovable tom kitten would easily find a home; in which he did. Beining the tiniest cat.

In his new home, he never got a break. He was small and weak, and the neighboring kittypets would beat him up. Tears would stream down his face everyday, ashamed of his small figure and inability to fight back. Multiple scars were gifted to him.

Tired, and sick of being hassled he ran away into the dense forest. Expectant for no one to be there, he was in for a shock when he found brutal forest cats...

He was too small to be much good at fighting, so to hide his obvious lack of ability to fight he was placed in the Medicine Cat Den, quicking learning and officially appointed at the MCA.

A little while later - the tiny tomcat decided to go pick herbs for his mentor; Ramleap. He ended up having his first encounter with a HC cat, getting brutally attacked and taunted. Batpaw doesn't know - but his name is "Minkpaw".

THE TRIAL

_______________________

In the cruelest way possible - Batpaw was going to be tested for his wits and strength. Strength that resides deep below the physcial plane. Deeply embedded in your blood, and your spirit.

Waking up after a chilling day, he heard a familar voice. Tidestar's; the leader of The Uncharted Ones.

Oh if only he knew the mental torment that would follow him.

A looming presence pressed down onto the camp, a disembodied shadow swallowed the clan. The earth around them began to shake, branches and twigs falling.

The moon shone a fatal, bloodshot red. Batpaw looked into the sky like the day was going to be his last.

Rushing through the crowd, Ramleap took Batpaw into the Medicine Cat Den. Freaked out, confused... Batpaw hadn't a clue on what was going to happen. Ramleap ushered Batpaw to sleep, where he would see untimely horrors.

Waking up in a Dream Realm, he could see his fellow warrior apprentices daze to sleep too. It was dark, and an edgy feeling stabbed his chest as he heard Wolfmask's and Tidestar's daunting words. It was apparent that he might not make it out alive. He had to make good choices; and follow the trail of what he believe to be the best option.

His first obsticle was of such; a split of paths:

GO LEFT : a red hue scars the trail

> GO FORWARD : a white hue glows from each paw step

GO RIGHT : a purple hue pulsates

He chose to go forward, as white signifies purity and innocence.

He made the right decision.

Relief flooded his pelt; glad for once he made the right decision. Though before he could truly render his pursure a success- he faced another choice.

Saber skull : The skull has a light green hue to surrounding it

> Mammoth skull : A pink hue surrounds the skull

Wolf skull : There's no color, a crack splits the skull in half. Arrows flash behind it.

Holding his breath, he calls to the Mammoth Skull.

he made the wrong decision.

A cold chill went down his spine, all color dripping from his face as he heard the demented words of "Wrong Choice." Shaking, his breaths were shaken and his long, ears pinned to the back of his head. 'What will happen?' he wondered, legs shaking with unsteady breathing. Choking on his own breath, a large mammoth could be heard. The earth below him began to shake rapidly, as he struggled to stay on his paws. Paws frozen, his already big eyes widened more. He wanted to cry, he wanted to scream... Trying to keep the tears out of his eyes, his throat became clogged. This isn't it! He was never cut out to be a medicine cat... Squeezing his eyes shut, he dreamt about being in the housefolk home, care free and sleeping most of the day... But that wasn't his reality anymore. "Stop!" he tried to scream, though only a cracked muffle came out. Why couldn't he do anything? Why was he so useless?

Hearing his peers disapproval, his heart dropped.

“BATPAW, IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, YOU SUCK AS A GUIDE! STOP SUCKING OR I’LL BEAT YOU UP!”
says Lambpaw.

He felt the cold looks. He failed his one job.

Breath still shaken, he held back the tears as he watched the fellow apprentices get hit by the branches. He felt so useless, so caged just only being able to stand there and watch helplessly. Biting his lip, he held back the tears which were already glimmering in his eyes. Tail dropping, he just wanted it to end... Until he heard a fellow apprentice. Looking up, obviously disgruntled he recognized Lambpaw, Wolfmask's daughter! Or at least he thought... They looked very similar.

“BATPAW, IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, YOU SUCK AS A GUIDE! STOP SUCKING OR I’LL BEAT YOU UP!”

His heart stopped as he frantically blinked, letting out a few 'hic' sounds to stop him from bawling. It wasn't the blatant insults that hurt him, it was the truth Lambpaw was holding behind her statement. Yet if he were to yell, or speak all that would come out would be a bunch of blubbering crying. Staying silent was the only thing that kept him in check. How could Lambpaw be such a meanie?

Glancing away, he noticed something in the corner of his eye... ah are those triangles? Obvious uncomfort was clear in his posture as he stared directly into the four shapes. What if he were to pick the wrong one again?... No Batpaw! You must be confident for the sake of the apprentices! Even if it means risking them... Batpaw knows he would give up his life for these apprentices in a heartbeat. Gravity seemed to pull his paw to the regular triangle. What if they were trapped spirits? Maybe they could fight alongside them? Or maybe they were demons trying to trick them.
Sniffling, still shaken up from the mammoth he tried in his clearest and least emotional voice to make the next direction. "R-Regular triangle!" he yelled, before suddenly smelling a new scent. Curious, a sense of dreariness waved over him as he just felt the presence of another cat. Even if he couldn't see the other cat... Or creature... It felt like something was there. It's like when you close your eyes and block your ears, you can still feel the presence of someone else. Someone else is here with him and he doesn't know who.

Lifting his head weakly, he tried to follow the scent trail. "Is anyone there? Hello! I need help!" he called, with a slight hinge of desperation and fear in his voice.

If he gets attacked he won't know how to fight back.

A slight clutch of uneasiness hit him. Is he going to die in this miserable dream realm?

The final obstacle was up. Three triangles.

The sideways (LEFT) triangle glows green, a gentle breeze brushes the apprentices fur.

The sideways (RIGHT) triangle glows orange, ferocious roars can be heard.

> The regular triangle glows yellow, you can hear the cries of cats your age

Before making his choice, an unfamilar feline appears, directing him to the LEFT triangle. Assuming the big feline was up to no good, he cursed the unfamilar being.

Assuming the Left Triangle was made to fool the apprentices, he realised he had to bring himself together. For the sake of his survival. For the sake of the apprentices.

they were lead to something ugly.

The ugly, foul creature taunted the apprentices, attacking them, stomping them and so much more heinous attacks.

THE ANCESTOR

What's this? A large, Saber Tooth Tiger approached Batpaw.
__________________________

Long fangs glimmer under the soft light, its tired eyes widening as it gazes towards the monster creeping up on the apprentices. Its pelt glimmers with many other spirits, tinier, but nonetheless the beast is quite large. It stands up and watches the apprentices, and then the medicine cat.The creature is baffled with how tiny its descendant, Batpaw, is.

_______________________

Scared, confused, and baffled Batpaw admired the huge beast; especially it's long endearing fangs.
_______________________

Batpaw froze as the enlarged, fang like cat emerged. The fangs are about the size of his body - Batpaw could hardly believe that he was really related to such a brute. Sharing the same baffled reaction, he felt a sense of connection. If it’s not the size of his ancestor - they still both posess a mind and feelings. Growing fondness to the feline, a light comforting smile carved on his maw.
_______________________

Saber nodded his head. Batpaw now had the strength of a big, ancient creature on his side. Before sending Saber out to attack the Beast, Batpaw stops him dead in his tracks.

"Before you go - what's your name!" Batpaw asked.

_______________________

The sabers eyes widened, such a question, the beast knelt down and bumped its large nose into the tiny apprentices chest. Its eyes still remained wide, with such an emotion too traumatic to utter.

"I am one of the First Warriors," its voice emitted with a rumble, "You are being deceived, you think you are strong - you think you will conquer all. But what source of strength traumatizes you?" the saber huffed.

"The only possible way to save yourselves is stepping into the light," The saber went quiet, positioning itself to attack the demonic creature, "The truth will set you free."

_______________________

"The truth will set me free?"

Allowing it to fling himself onto the large beast, Batpaw watched in awe; and confusion. What... Could that mean.

Before he had a moment to ask anything else, he immediately woke up from this hell scape.

He woke up with a Saber Fang, which emits voices only the small Medicine Cat can hear.

__________________________

First Crush?...

He sure is Handsome.

On a warm, spring evening he meets an unfamilar tom. One he has admired from afar.

Jaggedpaw.

Alarmed, post trial, Batpaw was nervous and anxious around the other apprentices. Though, for some reason Jaggedpaw was nice. Extremely nice. He was putting on an act. But Batpaw, stunned by the tom's handsome looks, he immediately spilled a lot of info about The Trial. Or moreover- his feelings about the trial.

Jaggedpaw carrying on with his kind act, smiled and let the tiny tom vent his feelings and emotions.

Admiring Jaggedpaw - feeling flustered - warm - nervous.... Was this having a crush? It felt like he was floating on air.

He gained one more thing in conclusion;

Jaggedpaw has very nice shoulders.
